What the first steps actually look like.
Starting therapy can feel like the hardest part. Here's exactly what happens, in order, from your first message to your first session.
Reach Out
Send a message through Contact Me or call or text directly. Share a little about what's bringing you to therapy right now — a short description is fine.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
We'll talk by phone about what you're looking for, and you can ask anything about how I work. This is as much about you deciding if it's a fit as it is about me.
Paperwork & Scheduling
If we decide to move forward, I'll send intake forms and consent documents through a secure client portal, and we'll find a recurring day and time that works for your schedule.
First Session
Your first full session is mostly about history and goals — what's brought you here, what you've tried before, and what you'd like to be different. There's no pressure to have it all figured out.
Ongoing Work
Most clients meet weekly or every other week at a consistent day and time, and sessions can taper as things feel steadier. We'll check in on progress regularly and adjust the plan as your needs change.
And that's where the growth begins.
